Look What The Cat Dragged In.....
Got this in an email....too cute...
One week after being born, six baby skunks were abandoned by their mother. Luckily, we had just weaned five kittens off of our resident farm cat a day before and hoped that perhaps she might take them on as her own. She was reluctant at first, but she let them nurse - a positive sign. Two weeks have gone by and the six little "Stinkers" are thriving and their new mom couldn't be happier. She has become quite devoted to them and even carries them around to show them off to visitors. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...eMatrix/s3.jpg |
I can't imagine that this happy tale (tail?) is going to turn out well...

All will be well until a baby decides to spray Mom...

Such cute baby skunks! I wonder if the story is true.

Awww who knew little skunks were so cute.

Fascinating maternal instinct. I wonder if the cat knows what's in store.

Mother cats and dogs do this kind of thing alot. I have to say baby skunks are pretty cute though. Years ago when my spaniel had her first puppy we had just gotten a very young kitten, our dog decided to nurse both. Very cute pictures.
Hey, maybe they'll grow up acting more like cats than skunks and they won't stink as much |
