Hi,

I need recommendations on hair products to give me a smooth, totally flat and sticking-right-to-my-head "Hat Hair".

Basically, my hair style looks best with "hat hair" that sticks flat, right on my head, *especially* the hair on the side of my head! This is the hardest part, to get it to stick super flat and smooth on the side of my head..

I can get this affect if I wear a baseball cap all day, then take it off and voila it looks awesome!

But what hair product can give me the same?? I have tried Got2B smoothener hair-spray that you spray and heat with blow dryer. It kinda works, but my hair still isn't 'oily' enough to stick right to my head..

-EDIT - my hair is avg long length; it is not short enough to spike, but long enough to have bangs a lil past my eyebrows; and long enough on the side to cover the side of my head..

Hairspray isn't going to be your thing. Try paste if you're active and wax or palmade if you're not. Also, don't wash your hair every day unless you absolutely have to, and always condition.

Will paste or wax give me a natural look? I'm trying to avoid having shiny, "gel-like" hair..

It depends on the brand and the amount and the application. Hair should normally shine to some degree, and unless you want to go a week at a time without shampoo, you're going to have to allow something with some degree of sheen in your hair. Paste has sheen, palmade has less, and wax has less still (I think).

Or you could just wear a bini to bed.

thanks for the tips bud, i just tried some "forming creme' that i had from a year ago (which i forgot about), and it works like a charm even for the side of my hair..
