finishing plywood
so i read somewhere to use birch plywood to make some drawers and cabinets. i went and got some birch plywood, built my drawer stand but have many sides of the plywood exposed to show the layers. is there any way at all to cover up the layers?
i read in a magazine somewhere that they were able to apply some sort of coating to particle board instead of laminating it. would this be possible for plywood? or am i gonna have to get some moldings and just glue them on? thanks all |
you need to purchase some edgebanding....it's basically thin strips of veneer that you glue on the exposed edges of the plywood, it's alot easier to do this before assembly, but I guess it's a little late for that now. They make an iron on version of it too that works pretty well.
