That is a good site. There are everyday things that you take advantage of everyday that are on that sie. Need to know how a sewing maching threads needles into fabric? That's the place to go.

Old news but good news. And Mystifying, nice one on the Drake Equation.
I like that place but it doesn't beat my CD-ROM Encyclopedia. I found in it detailed blue prints of constructing nuclear weapons and how to take the most effective safety precautions! Doesn't every feel safe out there with pyromaniacs like with the knowledge on building nulcear weapons?

some dude showed up at my door one day tryin to sell these books that were titled, exactly The Way Things Work, there is some pretty interesting stuff in there, but not worth what they expect you to pay for them...

Those "the way things work" books are pretty entertaining. Especially with all the woolly mammoths.

They're great for getting kids interested in technology and science.

I gave my son both of the books a few years ago... he reads them in bed.
