Screen Caps (question)
Hey, anyone know how to get screen captures from AVIs, Mpegs, DVDs, etc?
Can't seem to find any program for it, and when I try to use the "Prnt Scrn" key, i just get a black screen shot where the picture should be. Thanks in advance! |
here's a little trick:
during the video, hit the pause button. with the video paused, point up to the "X" on the titlebar and click once, but don't release (otherwise it will close the application) while holding that click down, press the PrintScreen. That should do it. |
Oo... interesting, i'll try it, thanks =)
I would like to get a full screen of it though, but meh, better than nothing =) |
I'll try that too, I've been wondering the same thing. This will result in pics posted for all of you :)

i tried it, and you can get it copied and pasted, but then when you save it as jpeg, it goes black again, still trying to find software to do it.

sweet
that works great i used adobe photoshop 7 and zoom player |
zoom player eh, thanks! I'll try it
did you use it on a DVD, mpeg or avi? |
to be able to make a screen cap of video, turn off hardware acelleration. When you use hardware accelerating, the video card actually "spits" the movie onto the screen. Windows doesn't really realize there's video going on. When you use software acceleration, windows is able to know what's going on, and thus can make a screen capture
|
how do I turn off hardware acceleration?
|
right click on desktop, go to properties, click on advanced, click on troubleshoot.
