Mattress Repair
Hey Everyone,
Does anyone know of a way to firm or toughen up an old mattress? I have had this mattress most of my adult scholastic life and now it is starting to hurt my back. I have taken to sleeping on the floor for the firmness but I would very much like to return to my bed. Does anyone know of a way, on the cheap, to make my mattress feel stiffer or more firm? Thanks a millon. Much appreciated.

Mattresses are good for about 10 years -- 15 tops - once they are gone, and they start to bother your back -- it's time to go mattress shopping.
If it's not a pillowtop mattress, you could try flipping the mattress over and try sleeping on the opposite side (when you buy a new mattress, flipping the mattress prolongs the life of it) You can get a backboard, like WarWagon suggests, but that's really only a short term thing.
