Black Ant

This ant head is a little less than a half millimeter long.

Hawaiian Fruit Fly

The head of this fly is about 1 mm across.

Butterfly Wing magnified about 75 times.

Spider Hair

This whole picture is about 40 micrometers across.

Mosquito

Think there are a lot of mosquitoes in your neighborhood? There are 3450 species of mosquitoes!

Cockroach

For those of you that have kids.

As much as I hate bugs, those are some pretty kick ass pictures of them. Wouldn't it be scary if they're actually that big???

I especially like the spider hair, The others are pretty damn cool too. I've Always loved microscopes

How did they do the colors? bugs are that colorful at close look are they?
