How to get a cd out of a player that you uninstalled.
Yup, failed to look ahead, and Highway to Hell is stuck in my old player for my car... any suggestions?

Take a pair of clip leads or scraps of old wire, observe polarity carefully, and temporarily connect the player to a car battery. Remove your CD, and go in peace.

There's normally a hole (similar to the little holes in floppy and CD-rom drives) that you can poke a paper clip into, that will invoke the mechanics of the ejection mechanism. Although, this may depend on your Head Unit model. Probably best idea is to consult the manual for it.....

Damn, the battery thing makes me nervous. Ended up taking the top off and manually working the mechanical stuff in there to relase it.
Pain in the balls, but I didnt need to fry a board by fucking up. |

Well, its out, and all we had to take off was the top panel. Who knows. I think its safe. Not like I need it anyway, except when I sell the car, (if i sell the car) I will probably put it back in.

I did the same thing a few years ago, I just took it to the car audio installation place they tookthe cd out for free.
