KVA on generators
While flicking though a tool magazine, fell across the page on generators and it quoted a KVA figure.
Could someone please explain this figure to me ? This was my guess: KVA = kilovolts * amps Voltage outputs were 230/110. So let’s say we had a tool that required 230V at 5amps to work. 0.23*5=1.15 KVA? So as long as the generator kicks out more than 1.15KVA the tool should run fine? Am I right? |
Exactly.

Thanks for confirming my theory
