How should I hang a picture without a nail?

So I want to hang some pictures in my dorm room--the problem is, all of the walls are concrete, so no (easy) nails. The pictures arent large, they are all 11x14 metal sectional frames, so they dont weigh much, but at the same time, Im worried about some sort of tack adhesive coming loose later on and breaking my frames. Any ideas?

You could go to the hardware store and ask for the 3M brand adhesive hooks (sold year round but pushed heavily during holiday season.) They stick to the wall and can hold a fair amount of weight, and when done with the pics, you pull a tab and the whole thing comes off w/o leaving a mark. Run less than $5 for a two pack.

Would work well IF the pics are not too heavy and if the walls are painted (raw concrete or block walls would not offer the best bond.)

The walls are painted cinderblock, but they are pretty rough. Do they make them in different strengths?

There are those self adhesive hooks, my friend hung fully frames large photos on them last year. They worked very well, but didnt like coming off without a good dose of goo-gone.

They work great though.

3m command adhesive is what apetaster is talking about... my roomie is hanging a cork board with them...if one wont hold it then get 2... you can even put a third and maybe a 4th at the bottom of the frame to hold it up... they work really well... and dont leave marks!

If you really don't want them to fall buy some 1/4" plastic anchors and a short sheetrock screw - They'll never fall. The adhesives simply don't work most of the time - if you ever need to repair the hole vs the mess of the adhesive the hole is usually much easier - just a dab of spackling and some paint and your done.

I would just use a bunch of double sided tape. Or maybe epoxy for those pictures that you just don't want to let go of. (or have the wall let go of for that matter.)

duct tape and double sided tape takes the paint off cinderblocks.. so Id avoid that if your going to get charged for paint damage...

Liquid Nails would do the trick if you want it to hold.

oh yeiih! I know the answer, this is what my dad does and he has about a million paintings in his house. He bought some contraption that holds a transparent wire, and you put this thing in the wall in the place where the divisor between the wall and ceiling is. I don't know if it's a great description but I know that such a thing excists
