6 Minute snooze is the most sadistic thing ever. You just start to drift back off to sleep, and suddenly, BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

nofnway 10-25-2003 08:08 PM

beauty.....something to sleep on.

flecktone4 10-27-2003 06:41 PM

last year i hit the snooze button too much...

but this year ive got my bed lofted... so i gotta climb out of bed and down 6 feet to get to the alarm... so im already awake and on my feet when it goes off...

Sleep is a myth. ;) At least that's what my old college roomy always told me when he wanted to go out and party.

I did that for about a week during my freshman year. Sadly, I'm asininely stubborn as well as a man who enjoys his naptime, so occasionally I would just lie in bed getting more and more pissed off at the alarm clock and the world that required me to be awake for an 8 o' clock class (advice: you will not learn spanish at eight in the morning, instead learn it at 5 in the afternoon with an old cuban woman who insists on brewing fresh coffee for the herself and the class, and who also provides snacks and rambles in spanish all the time). Finally after a week of grousing myself across the room to hit the off button, I flew across the room in a lethargic rage and slammed the off button so hard the alarm clock shattered into several chunks of plastic. Then I went back to bed.

To this day I have no idea how long the snooze was.

I like the snooze just like it was said earlier it lets you wake up in dregress rather than all at once

Chingal0 11-16-2003 07:20 PM

My cell has 5 minute snooze. My alarm clock is 7 minutes. I have no idea.

Hahaha, same here, except for mine is apparently getting longer as it ages, and it looses a couple of minutes a day. I hope to find another one, I hate math in the morning.

i can adjust mine... have it set at 13 right now, perfect wake up time when used with the radio too

Yea, that extra minute make everything else worthwhile.

emmdubbs 11-17-2003 08:03 PM

odd. my snooze is a 10 minute as well, and it clucks like a rooster.

yea i find that if you set it for 10 minutes before u have to get up, and hit snooze and are sitting there in that half-sleep phase for 10 minutes, you will be alot less tired than if you just set it 10 minutes later and get up and get moving

i so agree with you..otherwise i'd be a mess at 6 am when i get up for work.

Jaseca 11-19-2003 10:04 PM

I had an alarm with variable snooze and I'd set it to 59 minutes. Nothing like waking up 2 hours earlier than you actually wanted looking at the clock and going "Hell yes, another hour"... twice

theevilhamster 07-08-2010 02:11 PM

The snooze is a life saver for me; I hit it when I intend to get my lazy butt out of bed, end up falling asleep again, and getting re-awoken by the snooze.:expressionless:

O-M-G!

I have always wanted to know this but never brought myself to google it.

Panopticon 08-06-2010 09:19 PM

My alarm clock (made by Sony) has something called the "Snoozinator" that allows you to snooze in 10 minute increments up to 60 minutes (ie - press once for 10 minutes, twice for 20 minutes, etc).

I can't even remember how many times I have inadvertently pushed the button more than one or two times, only to wind up late to school and/or work.
