Ancient Board Game
 

I'm looking for the name of an old board game. The game consists of a big grid, and many small pieces that look exactly the same (only with two colors... kinda like in Go).

Now, the game is more like chess. Only no piece has a meaning as an individual. You can only move groups of pieces. If I remember correctly, you move 3x3 blocks, where the pieces within the block define how the block can be moved.

Sounds somewhat like Abolone but more complicated. You may like this game tho.

Sexymama, I'm familiar with Abolone. Good game, although it does get repetitive after a while.
