I assume you are using Windows, because 98% people who don't mention what system they are using, use Windows.

IrfanView is an excellent freeware graphic editor.

Im trying that editor, but the help isnt very exentsive, and the resoze (as well as most of the other editiing tools) isnt grayed over, and not available

I use Adobe PhotoDeluxe - a freebie that came with my scanner. You can DL it on Kazaa - not a lot of bells and whistles, but it's very simple to use.

Windows has a Microsoft Photo Editor built into windows XP. open you picture in that. Go to the image bar, click resize. Free, easy, no downloading required.

Try www.gifworks.com if you just need to do one or two. Click "file", "open", then browse your PC.

Yeah, Adobe Photoshop is the best for doing what you want to do. The XP program can be a pain.
