Discrete Mathematics
Anyone know of any good reference books on the subject?
I'm also looking for the Course Technologies Oracle 9i PL/SQL book, but Discrete is more important to learn at present. |
Oh, sweet, sweet discrete. I love that branch of math I wish I could do it every day.
The only books I ever used on it were the textbooks for class, so that's likely not what you want. |
Actually the reason I ask is because we are in a class which doesn't require any textbook. I'm looking for something to look at when notes aren't enough, etc.

Discrete math from a computer science perspective? IE with code examples of how to perform operations using those concepts, or just discrete math on it's own...
|
yeah? more clarification...
|
Its being taught by a math professor so discrete on its own would be useful.
Although Computer Science would be interesting as well. |
never seen a "good" discrete book, as far as that goes. you may do better hitting hte library by topic... a set-theory book, a circuits book, etc etc...
|
Mathematical Structures for Computer Science by Judith L. Gersting is the required book for my Discrete Structures class. It is fairly informative and worth at least a glance, in my opinion.

same one we used, and i didn't like it. it's expensive, too, so watch out.
