1 red rose = I want in your pants

12 red roses = I'm sorry, I want back in your pants.

pink rose = oh shit, it's valentines day? I hope there is something left at the store.

white rose = see pink rose

1 yellow rose = It ain't gonna happen.

I can't ever remember those meanings except for just the regular red rose. I just use the sign on the door to the roses at Kroger, makes it easier.

I always remember (from somewhere in the depts of my mind) believing that a blue rose signified true love.

Why a blue rose? Because there is no such thing...

The point here being that if you could get your hands on one and give it to your girl...

I even remember seeing them being sold somewhere; artificially coloured of course...

Okay men, I'll give this one away for free.

While I was on my last deployment, I missed my wife's birthday AND our anniversary due to my being to sea. So I sent her a dozen roses, but had the florist substitute a fake rose for one of the real ones. The card read "I'll love you until the last one dies."

My wife STILL has the fake rose on the mantle.

A friend of ours uses a mixture of yellow and red roses to communicate with his then GF, later fiancee, now wife.

They started out as friends. He was afraid of "making moves" on her for fear of ruining the friendship. So, on Valentine's day, he gave her 11 yellow roses and 1 red one.

She got the hint immediately. When he gave them to her, she took the red one out of the vase, smelled it and winked at him. Their first kiss followed about five seconds later.

When he proposed, he did it the other way around.

Since then he has given her various combinations depending on how he feels at the moment. Sometimes he includes a lot of yellow ones to say that he wants to re-connect as friends. He never gives her just one color although now it is usually mostly red with a little yellow.

At their wedding, he had two on his lapel, one of each.

She loves to show them off.
