I was listening to the Grateful dead the other day. Specifically the song Truckin' which has the line "living off reds, vitamin C, and Cocaine" what on earth are reds?

It was seconals and tuinals, too, I think. Those days were acid and coke to bring you up, reds to mellow you out and get you to sleep.
