Any ideas?

Hey,

My group and I are writing a paper on 8 week sessions, as opposed to 16 week sessions (for course term) in college. This is because there is some construction being done on our campus that has caused many of the classes to be reduced to longer period, 8 week courses....as opposed to the shorter period, 16 week courses...

We've written the entire paper, it has all been based on primary research (we did a random questionaire on campus)....BUT, we're required one reference, and I would really like to find SOMETHING out there, if any other studies have been done like this.

I had the idea to search for the effects of summer courses on students, seeing as how most summer courses are 8-week, but I keep coming up with nothing...

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,

-Will

So you are wanting another reference backing information on the findings in differences between the two types of course set-ups?

Honestly, I don't need anything that specific. I think I've come up with something though....All that is required is one reference. We could just use an entry from an encycopedia and call it good, but I was trying to avoid something like that lol.

Thanks,

-Will

You wrote a paper at the post-secondary level involving research, and are looking for ONE REFERENCE?

Have I walked into a rabbit hole? Is this a serious post? How can you design a proper research tool such as a questionaire without knowing how to do a literature search?

Go to the school library. Ask to speak with a librarian. Explain to them the nature of your experiment, and ask if they can assist you in finding supporting literature.

You have put the cart before the horse here, but being in College, you know that. You should have created a hypothesis, done a literature search, and then designed your questionaire.

BTW, I have never been asked for ONE REFERENCE in my life (well, maybe grade 4, during the book report phase of reading class). Who would ask for ONE REFERENCE, and more importantly, why?
