macerator

Anybody have any experience with a macerator, thinking of my back yard, and considering a pool. However with a pool, I would want to keep people out of the house, so the need for a macerator pump or a macerator toilet and shower.

Do they work?
I read good ones actually will pump the remains up 8 feet or more? since I live in suburbia, it is difficult to tie into my regular sewer, so I would have to come into the side of my house and tie in with drainlines.

The only macerating I've ever done was with grapes...

I would check with your local building codes as well. You may be required by law to tie into proper sewage lines, regardless of the difficulty.

sorry to be more specific, my house is slab foundation, so difficult to run a sewer line through my back yard with a slope that will work, and still tie in to a regular sewer, I would plan on bringing a pipe up into the side of the house and tying into sewer regularly in a bathroom. But I can not tie to the main sewer line easily.
I found a lot of Boat/RV usage with a maserating toilet but I found one that will also process a shower, sink, and a washing machine (assuming it emptys into the sink drain).

seems like a super garbage disposal that sort of pumps the water out.
