Changing the video camera mode from sp to SLP or EP?
Hello,
I have a panasonic video camera and I want to change the mode from sp to slp or ep so that instead of recording for 30 mins per tape, I can record for 90 mins. I looked at the menu and did not see any such options. Anyone can help? I don't have a manual. Thanks. |
what model number?
And are you really sure you want to do that? increasing record time comes at the cost of a BIG sacrifice in video quality. |
the model is PV-L501D
It's a Panasonic palmcorder I'd like to at least try it and see how it is. Thanks for any help! |
that camera is very old, so i was unable to find any instructions for it. But looking at it I would venture a guess that record mode is not switchable on that camera. Even on the higher end models it's often only switchable via an engineering menu, and good luck finding out how to get to THAT unless you make friends with a panasonic tech rep.

Thanks, Shakran!

Buy longer running tapes?, assuming it uses tape... :)

right in front of the viewfinder there are 3 buttons, the one closest to the back is the speed button, hold it for a bout a second to switch modes, it should say speed above the button and sp/slp below it
