Minnesota land of hockey and whores
 

I haven't seen this one around....

An old man was browsing the produce at the local grocery store. A young man stocking the tomatoes asks the gent if there is anything he can do to help. The old man asks if it's possible to buy just a half a head of lettuce.

The young man caught his boss a few aisles over. "Some crack pot wanted to know if he could buy half a head of lettuce," he said. Noticing the look of horror that ran across his boss' face, the young man swings around to see the customer standing right behind him.

"And this fine fellow would like to buy the other half." he finishes.

After the customer has left happily carrying out his half head of lettuce, the boss turns to the young man.

"I was really impressed with the way you handled that situation out there," the boss beams, "I thought for sure there was going to be a problem." The boss man puts his arm around the young man's shoulders and asks the kid where he's from"

"Minnesota." the young man replies. "But I left it behind me a long time ago. I just had to get out of the state."

"Why's that?" the boss asks.

"Minnesota is great, I guess, but it's filled to the brim with hockey players and whores." the young man replies.

"Son," the boss says removing his arm and looking sternly at the young man, "My wife is from Minnesota."

"Oh really," the young man says, "And which hockey team did she play for?"

I had heard the hockey players and whores part before, but the salad thing was new. Thanks for the laugh!

i've seen the hockey here... but i can't report an excessive amount of whoring. in any event...a good one. :)

In Canada we say the same thing about Manitoba (kind of north of Minnesota).

" In Manitoba, you're either a hockey player or a hooker."

Oddly enough my step-mom comes from there and she said allegedly played left wing.

Smart kid. He manages to keep his mouth foot-free!
