Didn't Bill Waterson retire on New Year's Eve? How many years ago was that?

We should have an anniversary party.

ah, i miss calvin and hobbes. not christmas related, but my favorite
Calvin: BU-URRP!
Mum: Good heavens, Calvin! What do we say after that?
Calvin: "Must be a barge coming through!"
Mum: WHAT do you say?!
Calvin: "That sure tasted better going down than coming up!"
Mum: Three strikes and you're history, kiddo.
Calvin: Excuse me.

Calvin's snow creations rock. One of my favorites is the one that ends with Calvin's mom saying "I don't care, we're not having an anatomically correct snowman in our front yard!"

Thanks, Latch!

Thanks so much Latch, I've hadn't seen some of those before. I used to have the rest saved somewhere, but now I do.

I miss C&H so much, most newspaper comics now a days are no where as funny. If they are at all.

Can't get enough C+H. I bought the collections as they were coming out in the early '90s and every time I go back to read them I get a new sort of enjoyment out of them. As a kid I loved them for their obvious gags and visual humor and now 10-15 years later I can read the subtlety Watterson put into the stip and enjoy it on a new level.

I wrote an entire English paper on Calvin's character last semester and loved every second of putting it together.

Thanks for posting this.
