The great state of Alabama
 

Note: I am not trying to say anythign mean about people from Alabama, it's just the state used in the joke. That said, here it is:


A family has just moved to a new town from Alabama, and the son comes home from his first day of 3rd grade. He goes up to his father and says.

"Dad! We had math class today, and I counted all the way to 20, and everyone else only got to 15!"

the father replied "That's because you are from the great state of Alabama"

The next day, the son comes home and says "Hey Dad! Today we hasd a spelling bee, and I won!"

the father replied "That's because you are from the great state of Alabama"

THe next day, the son comes home and says "Dad, today we played baseball, and I made three home runs!"

and the father says "Well son, that's becuase you are from the great state of Alabama."

then the son says "After the game, we were showering, and I looked at the other kids, and I have the biggest penis in the class! Is that because I'm from the great state of Alabama?"

and the father says: "No, son, that's because you are the only 18 year old in the 3rd grade."

the same scenario can be found in Mississippi, Tennese, and the Carolinas

There's only one 18 year old in the third grade in Alabama? I thought there'd be more...

Actually, you are correct. The joke takes place in another state though, to which the Alabama family moved.

Hey man, a joke's a joke. I'm from Alabama, and I thought it was a scream! No need to apologize to me or anybody.

Wasn't it "Stranger In a Strange Land" that the Martian explained that one of the critical ingredients for humor is that someone must get hurt in some way?
