German man's embarrassing vacuum dilemma

A German man had to call the emergency services after an embarrassing incident involving a vacuum cleaner.

The 40-year-old, from Bochum, phoned police and told them his privates had got stuck in the suction tube.

Police spokesman Frank Plewka said the caller claimed it had happened "for reasons unknown to himself."

A team of police officers and a female medic went to the man's flat and managed to free him from the tube.

He received first aid treatment on the spot but had to be taken to hospital for further treatment to his injuries.

Perhaps a warning label on the vacume saying "Warning: Do not use near privates, or injury can result" would have prevented that....
