Dear Abby 6

Dear Abby,

Our son writes from school that he is taking Judo. Why would a boy who was raised in a good Christian home turn against his own ?

If anyone has read "Lamb: The Gospel according to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" by Christopher Moore, this joke is done much better there... but it requires many many pages of setup. Go read it.

Oh MAN, go read Lamb right now, if you haven't. One of the most brilliant humor novels of the decade. Then promptly devour the rest of Moore's many novels; he is a sick, brilliant man.

Entirely agreed. Read them! Read them all!

It's true. I'm just about to start Island of the Sequined Love Nun.

You might skip over "Bloodsucking Fiends: A Love Story", however (unless "You Suck" makes it better, I didn't get that one yet)? I thought that was particularly weak.

And don't read "The Stupidest Angel: A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror" until you've read all of his books published prior to that one.

I don't get this joke, and I've never heard of the bok, but it sounds interesting.

Can someone explain the joke?

"Judo" sounds like "Jew-do".

Not in an English accent it don't.

That makes sense now.
