One wish
 

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. All of a sudden he said aloud, "Lord, grant me one wish. "Suddenly the sky clouded above his head and in a booming voice, the LORD said.
"Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish"
The man said "Please Lord build a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive over anytime I wish"
The Lord said"Your request is very materialistic, think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking, the supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific, the concrete and steel it would take! I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for wordly things. Take a little more time and think of another wish, a wish you think would honour and glorify me"
The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, "Lord I wish that I could understand women, I want to know how they feel inside , what they are thinking when they give me the silent treatment, why they cry
what they mean when they say "nothing" and how I can make a woman truly happy"
The Lord said "Do want two or four lanes on that bridge"

Inside we feel that we have to live up to a mans idea of a wonderful mate, when we give you the silent treatment we are plotting revenge usually for feeling that you have done something really wrong, when we cry we are either feeling helpless, alone, sad or grieving and how you can make us truly happy is by telling how much we mean to you, how much you love us and investing in some cuddle time.

My vote?

They're all batshit insane.

When we say nothing, we say it because we feel that you should know what is wrong.

To us, it is like saying... The sky is blue.

If I take the time to notice that something is wrong AND care enough to ask what it is wrong, I deserve more than "nothing" as an answer.

For me "nothing" often means "something is wrong but it's not your fault and if I told you it would just make you feel bad so I'm trying to get over it".

Perhaps we should. But often we don't. And to say that the sky is blue might be helpful...to a person that is colorblind.
Better answer, but we still deserve at least a clue. Otherwise, being the insecure creatures that we are, we will assume that it is our fault. And even if it isn't, perhaps we'd like to feel bad with you. Misery loves company.
