Something old is new again

So I was remembering the games I used to play and how I miss some of them when I remembered Road Rash. The last Road Rash game I vividly remember playing was on Sega CD, and it was awesome. I know this isn't most people's favorite franchise, but I think I would really like to see the series make one last stab at greatness.
I believe with the sucess of games like Burnout and Need For Speed, Road Rash might find a new player base that would appreciate the gameplay.
Imagine how great it would be to wreck your friends on Xbox live, or even have a team or game mode where you could play as the police. An updated soundtrack, amazing graphics, new bikes, new weapons, and online support would, I think, make a new Road Rash game that's exactly what I'm looking for.

If you could make a sequel or remake an older game, what game would it be, and what would you change?

The last few Road Rash games sucked, but if they're willing to put an effort into the game I'd definitely be willing to give the series another chance.

The remake was fun till I bought all the abilities. Then every button was an instant teleport kill. Made the game no fun.

I've been playing a few games lately on NES that I think would be awesome if they were remade into modern games. Blaster Master would make an awesome vehicular combat/first person shooter. Just imagine, maybe they could make multiple vehicles that you can get into and pilot, maybe a flying vehicle and an underwater vehicle or something. When you're in the tank, you could choose between a cockpit view or a third person behind-tank view, and when you're out of the vehicle it could be like a FPS with just you and your gun. It would probably be best as a PC game because of mouse/keyboard, but lots of FPS's have been coming out on consoles so they could port it to 360 or something, because it would have to have awesome graphics. :)

Maybe someone should make a UT2k4 mod like blaster master... I'm sure it could do everything I just described...

Another cool game I think would be the Legend of Kage. I don't know if it was a very popular game, but it was really cool because it was a side scroller with lots of freedom of movement and attack. The B button threw ninja stars in 8 directions depending on whatever direction you're holding on the d-pad, and the A button did a little katana strike that could block incoming ninja stars or kill guys at really close range. The first level of the game was the coolest because you could jump really high (you were a ninja after all) and climb onto trees, climb up trees, run along the branches, etc. You really felt like a ninja, you could go through the whoule first level without ever touching the ground because you could grab onto every tree trunk or branch, and the level is full of trees. I think that could make a really awesome new game, something similar to prince of persia or the new ninja gaiden (which I haven't played yet, but need to).

I'd have to say what made the Road Rash games awesome for me, would be the
sound that baseball bats made when you hit someone with 'em.

Holy crap you are the man! Where can I get an emulator of that? I would play the ever-living hell out of that game if I could again.

That was the straight business.

No question.

When I was a kid, I had Road Rash for the Panasonic 3DO. Remember the 3DO?

I would like to see "Wrecking Crew" made again. That game kicked ass for Nintendo.

The remake of Bad Dudes and River City Ransom is The Warriors. I know it's actually a prequel/remake of the movie, but if you think about it, if they wanted to make an amazing gang-war beat-'em-up, it would have to be an updated version of The Warriors to be any fun. The same for Final Fight and Double Dragon.

I'm really looking forward to the remake of Shadowrun. I'm extremely disappointed that they're classifying it as a First-Person Shooter, but I'm hoping for the best on that one. If I were to make a remake of ANY older game, I must say I would remake Blade Runner as a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. It would be cool to be able to choose between being a bounty hunter, replicant, police, and citizen. Bounty hunters can get missions to kill replicants. Replicants could look like any of the other classes as a means of hiding, and get missions to wreak havoc and try to free your 'people'; protecting them from the bounty-hunters and the police. Police can get crime-fighting missions and occasionally come across replicants to retire, and therefore clash with the bounty hunters. Citizens could build and run shops, stores, or just choose to either live peacefully or go crazy due to lack of contact with other people. The crazy thing is everyone would have to keep each other from thinking they're replicants, no matter if they are or aren't.
