Evil Dead: Regeneration

New Evil Dead game out. Sucks less than before. But then again, fans of Bruce will probably buy it because it has Bruce.

New Evil Dead game: try for the price, stay for Bruce Campbell

Normally it is the big games that grab our attention, but when Bruce Campbell is involved, B-list is the way to go. This week marked the release of Evil Dead: Regeneration, the latest episode featuring everyone’s favorite chainsaw-for-a-hand-hero, Ash. The reviews are trickling out, and what do they say? Generally, that the game does not suck as much as the last few. It is a quick game (8 hours) but the dialogue – featuring Bruce Campbell and Ted Raimi – is hilarious. For $20, it might be worth it, despite its flawed combat system.

GameSpot: 6.9
IGN: 6.8
1up: 6.5

Read more reviews here. The game is out now for Xbox and PlayStation 2 and is coming out for the PC next week. What is your favorite Evil Dead quote?

Yeah, I was going to buy this regardless of the game quality. But it's good to know that the games are headed in a positive direction. Give it a few more sequels and we might actually have a good Evil Dead game.

Yea, I was going to just check it out becuase Bruce Campbell is the man. It is kind of a shame that the games haven't been that good so far. As I remember, the last one sucked hardcore. Oh well, all I can say is "Hail to the King, baby".

And, for only 20 bucks... I think I'll have to pick it up to try it out.

It's worth a look. Let's hope it sets an upwards trend.

I didn't think Fistful of Boomstick was that bad...

So why did I only play it for a day or three?

At least the series is getting better, not worse.

Just picked this up today and it's pretty much exactly what I expected, which isn't so much a good thing. The controls are easy enough, but the game's just not that fun. I only find myself playing for the next cinematic. But I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next game...
