Sid meier's pirates

Anyone played pirates? been hearing alot of mixed reviews everything from its the best game ever to its a waste of time. Trying to decide if its worth getting or not. Dosn't seem to be a pc demo or anything to try. Any opinions would be great.

Try playing "Pirates! Gold" for sega genesis, it's basically the same game as the new Pirates, just more dated graphics... I think it's a really good game but it gets kind of old after a few hours of playing.

PC Zone over here claim it to be the ideal game to wind down to.

I am sure I read that there is no actual ending to the game too.

Its definitely near the top of my current backlogue of games to play

Its a blast and is quite relaxing if you dont follow the storyline. I know there was a thread about it here earlier in the year.

I played the game and absolutely loved it for about 3 hours.....

The problem with it is. Repetition. Good game tho. If they could of had better voice acting rather than Charlie Brown dialogue it would have been sweet!
