Microsoft Flight Simulator
I like Flight sims. Maybe it's a bit of a geeky think to enjoy but it's the slow paced reality that appeals to me. However my question is, I can't seem to get the multiplayer function working. It's a bit complicated to actually set it up. Who wants to talk me through it?

1) Buy a real man's flight sim
2) Enjoy the power of flying anything imaginable Hehe, never tried MSFS, at least, not anything in the last five years or so, so I can't help you there. I have been tinkering with the idea of building my own full-motion simulator, though ;) |

I fixed your link for you - you needed a hyphen ;) both sims are pretty good actually. |
MSFS looks pretty, I'll give it that. I almost bought it on that merit alone, then I remembered I don't have a computer that can run it ;) I had a gander at Fly! II as well, seeing as it's now pretty fixed and most computers can run it. Couldn't find it anywhere, though.
I'm a hardcore simmer, I want to have to start up my aircraft from scratch, none of this one-button stuff ;) |
you can do that in MSFS. You can choose between hitting ctl-E to automatically start it or starting it manually. There's a freeware DC-9 available for FS2004 that requires you to go throught the entire actual startup sequence for a real DC-9. Takes 30 minutes before you even get an engine turning.

Oh, neat. I'll definately look into it ;) I do enjoy messing with the aircraft in X-Plane though, nothing like designing a craft and flying it on Mars ;)
