I finally got my NES in, so I'm playing the HECK outta this game, and I can't beat the mall! This game is SOOO hard! The first level is hard enough, but the mall is just crazy. Wish me luck! :)

I miss that game!

i remember playing contra and life force when i was younger.. and i remember being damn good at it.

now im 23, and i played it over the summer... let me tell ya.
i suck...

well.... not really... it took a lot of playing to get used to it again.. but im surprised i died as much as i did.

did you know the code for contra also works for life force?!! cool huh

Bart vs the Space mutants totally fucked me up as a child...

I mean how the FUCK am I supposed to jump over all the fucking aliens, plus get all the hats or whatever...

I don't think I ever got past the damn mall.... arg. Stupid hats!

I never got past the first level; never figured it out.

I got to the end of level 2 (the Mall) today, and I had one life, but the boss killed me with his stupid suitcases. I was sooooo pissed! I'm gonna try and try again until I succeed.

P.S. I'm finally able to beat the first level without dying once. And it's STILL hard even though I've figured out how.

Oh yeah: Can anyone ever really get that first Krusty picture in level one? That stupid alien that jumps over the trash can gets me every time I even try.

I beat that game when I was very young, and I assure you, I would get *smoked* if I tried it again. Give me a break, it's so tough.

The mall definitely is one of the harder levels, I found it at least a little easier to get many extra lives in the first level by exploring it to death. I think it took me maybe a year off and on to finally get past the dinosaur in the museum, I really don't remember how at this point - I think it's time to pull the old NES out and see if I can get it to work again.

CityofAngels - if I remember right, holding down "A" after you jump makes you run instead of walk, you just need to time your run under the alien to pick the Krusty picture
