The Half-Life 2 Discussion (Rants / Raves / Spoilers)
 

So last night at like 2 am i beat it.... i was thoroughly disappointed and left thinking..

• G-Man seems to be helping you in this one (he gives the captain a rocket launcher and he puts supplies in the little warehouse in route kanal)
• G-Man works for someone. ("you will find out in... well i'm not at liberty to say")

If g-man has so much power, doesn't that mean that someone has even more power? and g-man could easily do all of the stuff you have to do in literally no time at all, so why dabble in making you do it and taking chances?

The G-Man definitely plays a pretty big role. After I beat the game, I started playing around with the no clipping cheat, and the gman is in several places of the game that you wouldnt see unless you had a sharp eye or were using the noclip cheat. Little clues, hinting that he is involved in a much bigger way that he at first appears. As for why hes helping you, it could be some sort of test... I dont know, but I suspect it will be revealed in due time :)

yeah also go talk to one of the friendly alien guys several (hundred) times...they give some very good hints. The g-man seems to exist on the same plane that they do..and that you did for a while too...The G-man seems like another puppet in a line of puppeteers...now the question is, will Freeman...well free himself...

I haven't been able to register with Steam yet. It keeps telling me that it can't complete registration while off line even though I'm online.
