Whats the hardest console game you've played this year?
 

I've found that many of the console games released recently have been rather easy to go through. i've got all three systems and was hoping someone could recommend a difficult and worthwhile adventure/rpg game. I just recently went through Fable and couldn't believe how easy (but still enjoyable) that game was.

Ninja Gaiden. It's plenty hard already, and I hear that the available downloads from X-box live make it EVEN HARDER. I still haven't finished it, as I took a side trip to X-Men Legends. Definitely the hardest this year.

Ninja Gaiden with the update was so hard for me.

I actually have Ninja Gaiden, i got about 1/3rd of the way through or so and my x-box got totally screwed up when a local guy tried to mod it. come to think of it, i'm going to post a thread about it since that was quite the funny incident.

after playing this game i must say it brought me back to the old school games that i could not beat as a kid

Ninja Gaiden was hard as hell but it wasn't nearly as fustrating as Contra Shattered Soldier.

Ninja Gaiden for me. It wasn't my copy of the game so I never got past the halfway point. I'll have to pick it up again and start over though so I can re-train.

Holy shit alot of Ninja Gaidens, Anyways I havn't played Ninja Gaiden but I'm sure if I did it would be on my list of hardest games played. Anyways mine Is driv3r for the xbox. It got so frustrating sometimes re-doing the levels over and over again some levels took about 10 attempts to finally pass. and the glitches and freezing didn't help the frustration level at all. but still a fun game to play in cruise.

I have to concur with everyone else. Ninja Gaiden was dang hard the first time around, and then I downloaded the update on Xbox Live and I can hardly stay alive for five minutes. Any enemy can kill you at any time, especially the black ninjas, and the bosses....well some of them are almost impossible.
My runner up goes to Viewtiful Joe for the GameCube. An awesome game, but very difficult.

Any other game which was hard was probably not frustrating hard so not really worth mention.
