pen & paper dungeons & dragons (especially in los angeles)
anybody play anymore? any good dm's out there w/ fun casual campaigns?
|
I've played since i was a teen and even DM'ed for a bit but i havnt picked up pen or paper for more than a year now. When a few key players move its hard to get a new group together that you can really enjoy.

I used to play, but it became very hard to get enough of our group together to play, so we finally called it quits.
|
Until I moved in 2002 I was a member of the RPGA with a Grandmaster Player and Dungeonmaster ranking. Since then I've let it slide as there aren't any oppurtunities to play out here in mormon country.

I've been playing about10 years but now are group is down to about 4 times a year, again people move, get sent to Iraq etc. I still enjoy it more than any computer game.
|
I always wish I was able to get into it, because I play MUDs non-stop, D&D paper would be the MUD minus computer... :P

D&D and Hero here. Great systems in my opinion, D&D for the ability to wake up and throw down and Hero for its versatility.
I'm either about to role play a setting that my friend and I are writing a comic about where you're in a multiverse of all of the character ideas we've ever written (Like high school meets pokemon meets evangelion meets the matrix, etc.) so you'll like step into the bathroom, and when you step back out you're standing there looking at pikachu and these moves of time and space are fairly sporadic and the only way to know when you're going to change is when the spirit moves me, the DM. I'll also look into running the Witchfire Trilogy by Privateer Press (Iron Kingdoms). The problem with these is that they're fairly hard to find, so if you can find them before the hard cover comes out I'd suggest picking them up and selling them on eBay or something. |
