Any fighting game reccommendations?
 

I'm a huge fan of fighting games. I am pretty good at Soul Calibur 2, not so much at Tekken 4, and I love Super Smash Bros. So any suggestions what I should check out next? Is your recc. a fast paced game, or more about timing like Tekken?

Well, some people think Marvel vs Capcom is a good series, though not me so much (I'm a Soul Calibur/Tekken Man). Bushido Blade 1 and 2 are both good though different from each other in subtle ways -- you should look into those.

Dead or Alive. Man, those games are ultra fun.

I also second the Soul Calibur recomendation.

I'm a pretty big fan of SNK vs. Capcom 2 and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (is 3 out on console now ?). SNK is the more old-school of the two games, but Marvel is more entertaining.

Guilty Gear XX. Very complex.

and xmen vs streetfighter
the vs capcom ones just got on my nerves with the 3rd character flying around everywhere

Oh I think I played this one before. Yeah, it is really really good. Too bad you can hardly ever find it any more :(

if you havent played it yet go buy a modified psone (or get an emulator) and download Thrill kill it is an unfinished fighter that was scrapped for being to violent/sadistic/sexual. It would probably fit right in today, but it featured new innovations like 4 character combat and a replacement of the health system with a kill bar, where after you land X damage you kill the next person with one hit or perform a semi fatality on them.
