Gaming news site
Im thinking of starting a gaming news website..
what would you all want done differently then other gaming news sites |
No pop ups.
No insane amount of ads. Good quality reviews. No bias. Good updates, and none of that premium subscriber bullshit. Make it FREE. Demo's for PC games. A chat room would be nice. |
Wouldn't it be bad ass if there was a TFP Gamer's Website where TFPers could post news about upcoming games, link to new trailers and whatnot? I mean we've got Elite Gamers here, Lasereth, Blitzkriegcannon, Redjake and myself to name a few... anyway, I'm full of ideas, it's that time of the night.

Preferably more substance, less style. I'd take a simple page with information than Gamespot's crappy fancy menu's that take forever to load when I'm using Bit Torrent and show up all fucked up on Firefox.
Good luck to you, if you need some help on the review side I might be able to help ya. |
Im going to use something like php nuke, simple, fast, and a good layout for navigating.
It's not going to have popups, may have some ads to actual games, but no big stupid ads... maybe one banner up top or something, advertising isnt really a concern though and there will be no, subscribe here bs. all free |
I created and run a City of Heroes fansite called "No Frills CoH" located here. If one or some of you are interested in maintaining a version of the site for a different game, let me know and I'll gauge interest.

http://www.gamerfeed.com has already got ya beat in the "free, no pop-ups, comprehensive gaming news" catagory...
Edit: http://www.Gamedaily.com is essentially the same site (all the same content, just in a different layout) but they also have a ton of free demos and downloads. |
yeah i got that.. whats wrong with a little competition tho
