Which game would you like to see remade
 

If you could choose which games you would like to see remade on the next gen system, which would they be? Even if they are remakes from older versions. Im talking Xbox 2, Ps3 and GC2.

Personally I would love to see:

1. Pilotwings 64 - I think this game would be badass without hardware limitations

2. Goldeneye - Just thinking about this game with next gen graphics gives me chills. Also, imagine all the new features that can be added, as well as multiplayer upgrades.

3. StarFox 64 - Not this StarFox 2 crap coming out. I want the N64 version, the sleepless nights I spent playing that game. The memories. :)

4. Ocarina of Time - Do I have to say why?

Im sure I will list more when I think of them.

My personal remake request is Metal Gear. The original. I've read the story, and since Big Boss' background is going to be thoroughly explored, I think seeing Snake's very first mission into Outer Heaven would be a lovely game. Hell if they combined that game with Metal Gear 2, just so we could get Gray Fox in the mix and Zanzibarland as well, it would be awesome. Yep.

Thats not a remake though, for that matter its not even Goldeneye. It just has the name, nothing else.

Final Fantasy VII. Same game. Updated graphics.

I'd get it in a heartbeat.

EDIT: Oh yeah, updated sound would be pretty sweet too :)

can't remember the name, but the old sidescroller where you started off as a ship and picked up parts to make you a robot. It boggles my mind that we haven't had a modern incarnation of this.

A faithful remake of castelvania's 2 and 3 with the sotn engine.

Ohhh that would be nice to see Pellaz.

And the ability to speed through pages of dialogue.

The... slow... ass... dialogue... is... the... reason... the... game... took... 120... hours... to...finish.

I'd love to see the Phantasy Star games get remade too.

Grey Fox was in the first Metal Gear as well - you purposely get captured while in Outer Heaven to meet up with him in the special prison area, then you break out.

Anyway, I agree. I'd love to see Metal Gear and Metal Gear: Solid Snake (the MSX game, not that Snake's Revenge bullshit) remade with gameplay and graphics similar to The Twin Snakes and Sons of Liberty.

I'd also like to see the original Mega Man games redone with graphics like Mega Man Zero or the later of the X series (but still 2D), fleshed out with better stories and anime cut- scenes.

I wouldn't want any of them to get remade... I think the chance to fuck up a classic is too great.

Damn, cant believe I forgot that one, I would just like to see hollywood holocaust be remade, that would kick ass. By the time Duke Forever comes out, the technology will prolly be outdated.

I know he's in the first one, but I'd like to see the fight they have in the minefield in the second one. That'd be fucking awesome. Especially if they did it like they did the fight cinematic in Twin Snakes.

I would give my big toes for a completely updated FF6.

It may be that the Zelda that's being currently made for GC could very well be a remake of OOT. That'd be damn nice. Hell, it'd be nice if it were an entirely new episode, or a remake of the original.

Tecmo Super Bowl

1) Update the graphics, increase the speed slightly, update the rosters, insert a dynasty mode. Then include the original versions of Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl.

2) Sell for $20.

3) Rake in the money.

Yes, yes. Then put them together like in the Anniversary game that's gonna come out soon, and add a special feature: once you beat a game, you can carry over the powers you got in one game to another, as long as you had already beaten the two games you're switchin' between. That'd make for alot of replay value for me, followed by even a premature ejaculation.

Perfect Dark, with a good frame-rate and a lil' less blurry action. That, my friend, would be the stuff that dreams are made out of; I'd tell Halo 2 to bite me if I had to choose between the two.

I'd be really interested to see Sonic and Knuckles as a 3D side-scroller.

FFTA was cool but I would love to see all of those remade, oh and to add one, FFIV(our 2) would be the greatest thing ever. FFIV was the best.

Goldeneye, Goldeneye, and once again, Goldeneye. And make the new one come out for XBOX and have nothing changed except the graphics. THEN make a new one that is updated and has new levels and that crap.

That's the beauty of Perfect Dark, except for the X-Box part. Never played it? Go play it. =P

I would love to see a Mother 2 remake, not for just the fact of updated graphics. Acctualy for the reason so many people missed out on that great game, it would give everyone a second chance to acctualy play. I know they did the port thing to teh GBA, but its still only in Jap.

I would love to have FF3/6 remade. Just updated graphics, maybe update the fighting system. A few small tweaks here and there to gameplay. No major messing around with the story. That would be ideal for me...

Also a FPS or 3/4 view version of Oregon Trail. I wanna see Darla get cholera in eye scorching 3d and ear shattering 5.1 surround. I want to feel the terror as I lose a wagon wheel. And as long as there's a cheat code that will let me hunt elephants with a chainsaw, for food, I'll be happy.

I'd love to see a remake of Betrayal at Krondor. And i <i>need</i> a remake of Centurion....
