UT2004 CD Key?

Greetings Everyone,
I was playing UT 2004 this evening and I kept getting kicked off the server because my CD Key was invalid????? I was playing the demo so there is no key. What gives? Does anybody know? Thanks

Could you possibly be playing in full version servers?

Besides, what are you doing playing the demo with that new 9800 Pro? Get the full version!

I have the full version but there is a specific demo server that I really, really like to play on. I have been trying to put my new 9800 through its paces but I think I am slowly losing interest in UT 2004. I am looking for a game worthy of my new card.

P.S. Thansk for the suggestion but I have no idea if I am playing on full version servers. I don't know if there is a way to tell? Thanks though

Well, I'm not sure what it could possibly be.

But I do know that if you want to test your card you could go out and get Far Cry. That will humble your system right up :)

I tried Far Cry (the demo again) and was unimpressed. I was duly impressed by the graphics engine but the game play, I thought, was rather lacking. It was like I was moving through molasses and kind've boring. Maybe its just me or mabye I need to spend more time with it. Who knows?

That's exactly how I felt when I played the demo, "Ohhhh pretty."

Later it became frustratingly boring. Kinda like how I felt about XIII Maybe the full version is better, XIII wasn't but this one looks worth a shot.

Now I have to decide between 4 games to get this weekend:

FarCry?
Hitman: Contracts?
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow?
PainKiller?
ManHunt?

Damn that's five...stupid math!

Remove Painkiller from you list :)

I have Far Cry and Painkiller, about halfway through both. Farcry is far better than the demo, but it can be VERY difficult at times. I love it, it is very challenging.

Painkiller is great visually as well, and very dark and bloody, but it's more of a pick up and start shooting type game, with no thinking required. I like both games, they both do what they do very well.

If you look around you can find both games for 29.99 each.

If my system is going to have problems with FarCry (even with my new 9800 Pro) then I am starting to get a little worried about the games on the horizon: HL2, Doom 3, etc. I know I won't have the money for a 6800 or the ATI equivalent.

Nah, you should be good. I have a Radeon 9600 Pro and I can run UT2004 completely maxed out (1280x1024 res) with NO lag at all. I haven't encountered a game yet that I can't run maxed out.. and I've tried a LOT of games.

I highly doubt Doom 3 will require a card higher than 64 or 128 MB seeing as how not a lot of people have cards this powerful. They have to release the game under somewhat reasonable requirements or no one would buy it.

Let me put it to you this way. The problems you'll have with Far Cry is you might need to ratchet down the settings to medium so it plays silky smooth. This means that instead of the game completely blowing you away that your jaw will drop, it will only be the best looking game you've ever played. And damn will it look nice.

Farcry

Farcry has one of the best single player
games I have seen. Very challenging, not like fighting "Bawts". I play it on the hardest level, not to mention, I havent gotten very far, lol.
