Top 5 Star Wars games ever?
In my opinion:
1) Jedi Acadamy (probably the easiest Jedi Knight game, but also the most fun) 2) KOTOR 3) Jedi Outcast 4) Jedi Battlegrounds 5) X-Wing Alliance Any opinions? |
1)KOTOR - without a doubt
2)jedi Knight - the openness was never matched by its sequals 3)x wing alliance - the number of missions was mind boggling 4)Tie Fighter - almost as good, but not quite as good as x wing alliance 5)dark forces - i dont know why, but the fun i had with this one was amaising, it killed doom for me, and thats saying something |
1) KOTOR
2) Jedi Academy 3) Rogue Squadron (all of 'em) 4) Shadow of The Empire 5) Star Wars Episode I Racer |
1. Knights of the Old Republic
2. Star Wars Eposide 1 Racer 3. Star Wars Starfighter 4. Roque Squadron 5. Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader -Lasereth |
there has never been a star wars game besides one for the snes...that i cant put a name to that hasnt disapointed me
|
Tie Fighter. the only good SW game IMO.
|
jedi knight II
x-wing alliance jedi academy dark forces jedi knight X-wing and Tie Fighter were also good games, but I didn't play them very often. Rogue Squadron is fun but repetitive, whereas X-Wing Alliance had a great story behind it and tons of content. Jedi knight 2 and Jedi Academy won out the first person/third person shooters because of the saber use more than anything else. way fun!! PS: RPGs SUCK!!! KOTOR can kiss my ass ;) |
Empire strikes back for the Atari 2600. man that game ruled, flying around shooting AT-ATs. Tie fighter was alot of fun. I like Bounty hunter as well.
|
I preferred X-Wing over Tie Fighter, even though Tie Fighter was the prettier game. You can get collector's editions now that update all the graphics. Fantastic fun. Love 'em both, so Tie Fighter would be number two.
KOTOR would be three, that's a hard game to put down. I like all the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games, but I think Jedi Outcast is probably my favourite. I also liked a game called Star Wars Supremacy. It was called something else in the states, but it was sort of like Risk I suppose. Quite quirky and a bit weird at times but also rather involving. You basically had to collect star systems for your faction (Rebel or Empire) by invasion, diplomacy, subterfuge, etc etc. You used characters like Darth Vader, Luke, Han, Chewie, The Emperor etc to win them over. Fun. |
KOTOR
Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight Jedi Acadamy Jedi Outcast Dark Forces |
Man.... Empire Strikes Back for the Atari.... wow did i play that for hours upon hours! Loved the Jedi Knights, never played KOTOR maybe I will have to give it a shot!
|
1. TIE FIGHTER - This was the first computer game I really loved and couldn't stop playing even up until today.
2. X-Wing Alliance - good, but not as good as tie fighter 3. Return of the jedi for Snes. 4. Rebellion - this game could have been much better but what star wars fan can't enjoy contrlling your whole operation in a galactic war. 5. Dark Forces-started it all. |
1) TIE Fighter
2) Rogue Squadron 3) Jedi Outcast 4) Jedi Academy 5) Knights of the Old Republic TIE Fighter is still a marvel, I've said it here before but that mission where you're escorting the EMPEROR'S shuttle through space is supremely badass. |
KOTOR
KOTOR KOTOR KOTOR KOTOR Just beat this 5 times and you will see that its the best |

I agree completely with charlesesl's list.
|
KOTOR is the only star war game I liked.
|
Jedi Knight
Jedi Outcast Dark Forces Rebel Assault Jedi Academy Havent played much of KOTOR, but what I did, I wasnt impressed with. |
1) Tie Fighter
2) Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight 3) X Wing Alliance 4) KOTOR 5) Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast [edit] i didnt put jedi academy on there because essentially it and outcast are the same game it should have been an expansion pack |
Jedi Outcast
KOTOR Jedi Knight Rebel Assault Shadows of the Empire |
ohhh forgot about shadows of the empire
i loved that game to bits still doesnt rank top five for me though :( |
Surprised only one person had Rebellion on their list, I loved that StarWars game. So much fun to mass a gigantic fleet and blow up the entire universe!
|
1 KOTOR
2 Rogue Squadron 3 KOTOR 4 Rogue Squadron 5 KOTOR |
rebellion was good, at least i think so.
its just a little too i dont know, complicated, like the whole battles were just wierd. it had potential, |
wow, i'm suprised that none of you have mentioned star wars galaxies.

1) TIE Fighter 2) X-Wing Alliance 3) Rogue Squadron 4) Jedi Outcast 5) Jedi Academy |
judging by all the KOTOR love i'm seeing in this thread (expect by you deflok) i'm thinking it could well be the next game i play.
the only Star Wars games i've played are TIE Fighter and Rogue Squadron. they were both fantastic. |
KOTOR's is undeniably a great game but the ones in my Top 5 I love so much more. KOTOR requires a lot of time and obviously is an RPG, not really my kind of game.
|
Bundy, you should definitely play KOTOR. Not only is it, IMO, the best SW game out there, it's probably one of the better games that'll ever be published.

the first X-Wing sucked me in. TIE Fighter just kept the legacy going. Definitely my favorite Star Wars game. |
Just completed KOTOR, I can get some sleep at last ! Very good game, I resisted getting it because I didn't think any Star Wars games could be worth playing. If you haven't got this, then it is well worth paying for, just be prepared for your social life to vanish until you complete it !

No X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, or Balance Of Power??
Mine are: 1. Jedi Knight 2. XvsT: BoP 3. Rogue Squadron 4. Jedi Outcast 5. Shadows of the Empire All good good games. What I miss most about Dark Forces 2 is the cutscenes!! They had actors! I hated the Outcast cutscenes. |
For me the best 3 SW games have been
1. Tie Fighters 2. KOTOR 3. Jedi Academy I can't list anything more than 3 games cause many of the other SW games have plain sucked. I know many people liked Jedi Outcast and Dark Forces : Jedi Knight, but those two games are horrible FPS - too much jumping from platform to platform; too much hunting for key / switch to open door etc. They are great for pure Star Wars fans but were badly designed as far as FPS went. I haven't tried Galaxies yet, so that has the potential to be a good game..... |
