Anyone know what the 2 bars n the right side of the screen mean when you are equipping the new gear you just bought?

One bar is your overall stats with the current equipment, and the second bar is what your stats *will* be after you equip the new gear. Some equipment make your overall stats better, some make them worse. You want your stats to be increased, so check the equipment before buying it!

First bar is your current stats with that your current gear for that specific location (i.e. headgear, board, etc.) and the second bar is what it WILL be if you purchase the upgrade. Like Lasereth said, don't buy it unless it brings the bar UP!

Those two bars, as far as i know, have nothing to do with stats. It is essentially a polygon counter. Once the bar is filled you cannot equip anything else.

Hmm.....that may be right! I've read that it was statistics before, but I wasn't sure if it was right. Polygon count makes more sense.......because the more polygons per item (it seems), the more the bar goes up. I might convert to that explanation :)

Hey, I never thought about that, but it makes sense. I've read on multiple reviews that equipping the items boost your stats, but I've never actually seen numeric proof of it. I looked through the manual, and it didn't say anything either way! I'm leaning more towards the polygon count, though. I'll try to find more info on it.

I'm guessing the polygon count is correct; IGN reports that the clothing and boards do nothing to the gameplay other than change the visuals. That's really weird that a few of the reviews I read were dead wrong. Oh well, you win some you lose some!

I only brought it up because ive never noticed a difference in performance when i had a maxed bar as opposed to a nearly empty bar.
