Jak II

So I've been seeing commercials for Jak II. The sequal to Jak and Daxter : The Precursor legacy. It looks alot more interesting than Jak I did. I'm considering getting it, and I was wondering, should I play/beat Jak I first?

It doesn't really matter if you don't play 1 but I do recommend it, Jak II is a remarkable feat in action adventure gaming, I don't think I've ever been this impressed with a "children's" game before. With that said Jak and Daxter do use curse words such as "Ass", "Crap" and "Hell" which is fantastic.

There's an incredible amount of detail in the world where there's an incredible amount of things to do, from the year so far, if I were to recommend one PS2 game above all others it would be this one.

I love it, they put together some excellent elements (auto-stealing, trick boarding, gun play) and did it right, making for an excellent game.

Jak II is a great game, it's taken me longer to finish than I thought it would. Also the back story you need to play this game is told in the first few mins.

I technically finished Jak and Daxter today. By that I mean that I beat the final boss, quite and easy game overall. But when I finished I had a meager 82 power cells. Yeah 18 to go. This is gunna be on my 'Extras to Complete list' for games, along with beating Hard/V-hard PSO for Dreamcast, getting all 40 bagillion emblems on Sonic Adventure Two, beating hard-must die modes for DMCII, and Full grids and all side quests for FFX.

I have beet Jak II and I really liked it. Other than those stupid missions with the mech there was nothing about the game I didn't like.

I was really impressed overall. Great feel, the city is good-sized and complex, the missions don't feel repetitive, and it looked great. Fun game.

Jak II

I recently purchased and beat Jak and Daxter, and I liked it so much that I bought Jak II. This game is just as awesome as the first. I can't put it down. And I'm not a big fan of platformers!

Any of you played either of the games? What do you think about them?

Anyone played Ratchet & Clank 1 or 2? I hear those are similar games, and that Ratchet & Clank 2 is the best platformer...ever made.

There's already threads on both series, and it seems that both series are must-plays for PS2. I want R&C 1 and 2 really bad. Like 900 publications gave R&C 2 game of the year!

I'm playing it right now.

Jak I is one of the few games I took the time to beat all the way (all of the power cells, and almost all of the orbs)

Jak II is a great game, albeit short.

I heard they were good so I bought Jak and Daxter. That game is fucking EXCELLENT! Then I went and bought Jak II, and it's just as good, albeit a bit different. I love the guns though. And the hover board. And car jacking hover cars. Hmm... I love the games.

I played Jak and Dax, I just finished Rachet and Clank and now playing R&C2. After seeing The poster for Jak 2 in R&C2 I'll probably be getting it next.

While I really enjoyed this game there is the feeling of "how can we make this game last longer?" that leads to annoying drives through the freaking huge city with about 5 million hovercars driving all over the place.

That said I had fun while playing it. There have been a lot of awesome games come out recently.

Just beat it. Very awesome game!!! I loved the twist(s) at the end.....that was great. Makes me think about the plot a lot and how things worked out. I love time travel stuff.
