XBOXers only....

What are your opinions on CS?

I think it is pretty damn difficult, I don't have Live! yet but the bot interaction is pretty decent, except for a few times when they stare at each other and do nothing for like 10 seconds.

I played on beginner ($6000 starting cash) and swept the series 4 games to none and I had 15 kills and 0 deaths. So then I decided to try Expert......total 180....lost 4 games to none and i died 4 times and had 0 kills.

Favorite weapon?
Bullup and the Krieg 550

you started with XBOXers only. I have not played CS on the X-Box, however, i have played it on the PC for about 4 years. From what i have heard CS for the console systems is at the very least more difficult than the PC. Have you tried the PC version?

There is a single player mission set and when i first played it I got very frusterated. It was extremely difficult. Later once i learned the controls and weapons better, i owned all that played.

Some of the things that should be considered:

Full auto weapons are great and fast but become inaccurate after about 2 to 3 rounds. Fire in bursts. Bullpup and Krieg are good cuz you can zoom in on your prey, nice for distance maps. Colts and AK's are best all around, close range and distance.

Certain items can be shot through, like boxes and doors.

Play with your ears as well as your eyes. I usually know where they are coming from and when they will appear just by the sounds of the footsteps.

Stealth is almost always key when playing against people, bots cheat; try not to get frusterated just use it as practice.

The Krieg is semi-auto while the Bullup is automatic and very innaccurate when using the auto-fire zoomed in. However, the Krieg is my personal favorite as the Magnum is too slow in case you get caught in a short range battle, the Krieg can fire off several more shots.

First the rant, I HATE HOW THEY USE THE 1.6 NAMING SCHEME (yes I know it is to avoid being sued)

I have played a LOT of CS in my life (3 some odd years) and the biggest pieces of advice to give you are:

1. get a keyboard and mouse for aiming
2. start with the mp5 (buy command 3,1) its powerful, light, low recoil and has descent stopping power
3. unless the bot support is REALLY good don't use snipers since your going to have to assault at some point to complete objectives
4. always walk so you can hear footsteps, sound is what gets me accused of hacking on a lot of servers, its like enemy sonar when paired with radar
5. never spray the rifles unless 10 feet way, always burst
6. NEVER SPRAY WITH THE RIFLES
7. more late when southpark is over...

I think that all this shit about strats and techniques are all a matter of personal preferance. I never use the mp5, never walk, and basically just blow thru the maps looking for people to kill. I use the pump shotty alot, coupled with deagle, and I win. Except I never play anymore, and I am not sure why .. haha.
