NBA Street 2. Has anyone played it?
I have recently read some reviews online for this game, and it seems to be surprisingly good in the eyes of the reviewers.
Basketball is one sport that doesn't translate well to console in "simulation" form, but I used to love NBA Jam/Showtime. NBA Street 2 seems to be more arcadey and overdone than realistic, and I am wondering if any of you have bought/rented/played the game lately, and how it is? Do you recommend it? What are it's good points? Negatives? Any feedback would be great, as I am curious about how the game is, and if you think it will be fun to play even after the NBA season ends. Thanks. |
I got it Friday and its very good. The new tricks and combo's you can do are much cooler and the gamebreaker 2's are very handy. I think that the best feature is the be a legend option. You make your own character and create your team then go and play in a variety of different tournaments and courts. If you win and how many tricks you preform determine how many development points you get for your created character. Plus you unlock all the good stuff this way. Really good game.

I saw Wilt on the commercial along with Dr. J....I would think that would go into the "plus" side!

I've read the reviews at www.IGN.com and www.deeko.com and frankly, I'm looking forward to picking this game up. IGN seemed to prefer the PS2, whereas Deeko seemed to prefer the Xbox. Any thoughts on this?

I just got the game today. It's a lot better than I expected. They changed tons of stuff from the first one to this. Trick points are easier to get.
