Let's go ahead and make this the FFXII thread! I know there's a thread about the website, but this one can be just about screenshots/info/rumors about it.

I think that the character designs are awesome. The screenshots look a lot like FFX (good). I want more screens now! Ha ha, the website says there should be major info released on the 19th of this month. I can't wait!

I thought you meant XII(12) at first. but its should be X2. I cant WAIT for this... I've also heard that VII2 Will be comming out in the next year...

The male lead as usual is highly effeminate looking, perhaps the most effeminate FF character I have ever seen, the female lead however is yummy.

Cloud?? Looks more like Tidus to me but whatever. Game does look like a repeat of FFX but who cares, X was great. oh and X-2 will be awesome.

About the FFVII2 thing, i dont think it will happen but i would die of joy if it did. They are however making a FFVII Advent Children movie, which is done in all cg that looks amazing.

When I first saw these pics I thought: Looks A LOT like Yuna and Tidus. Can't wait for more info.

Those screens really excite me! The one with the guy on the chocobo looks spectacular, as do the rest. I can't wait, but I'll have to...

er....I thought X2 (or 12) was going to be a FFX sequel? That would definately explain why they look like the main characters of FFX. It is a sequel right? Or am I just going crazy and making things up?

Is it just me who thinks that FFXI should have been called "Final Fantasy Online"? I mean, its not a traditional FF game so it should have its unique name, along with FFT and FFCC.

Tiser, I COMPLETELY agree.

Regarding the confusion about what the original poster meant, I think it lies in an understanding of the roman numeral system. The roman numeral twelve is written XII, not X2. So, When someone writes X2 or X-2, it just means 10-2 basically. I think a better way to write the title would be FFX:2, as if the 2 were a subtitle.

FFVII2 does not exist, but I think you probably meant FFVII:AC which I'm REALLY looking forward to. An actual GAME FFVII sequel would be cool but I'm 99% positive it will never happen.

And, again, Tiser, I couldn't agree more. I truly am upset by that because I really don't think it fits whatsoever as one of the main games in the series.

Gah. It looks like it's based off of Final Fantasy X. I was hoping they'd completly steer away from that Setting after already doing two games with it. But, It's too early to judge so I will just sit quietly and cross my fingers that there's more that meets the eye to FFXII

I know that it has nothing to do with FFX. No characters, no places, hell, not even the same universe is the same. In other words, the usual FF sequel. It sure looks a lot like FFX graphically though.

I'll have to agree with everyone who says it looks a lot like Yuna and Tidus. Hopefully they'll ditch the sphere thing for 12.

And on a completely offtrack note: when are they gonna come out with a second FFT?!

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is out for Gameboy Advance. It's a great game, but I'd still rather have it on a next-gen system with better graphics. It's hard to play a game that damned complex on a hand-held system. I know that the Gameboy Player is available but I haven't been able to try it out yet. Advance Wars is the perfect amount of complexity needed in a GBA game. I think it's actually a bit better than FFTA.

Ahh come on, give it a try! It's ultra addicting. I want to buy the second one, but I hear it's basically the same as the first one with a small plot advance. It got good reviews, so I suppose they used the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" plan.

I really hope this ends up being a great game. They have put a lot of talented people to work on the game and I hope it turns out great.

Dang I'm trying to get into finnal fantasy, started with 9, just got 10, now they are doing 11 and 10 part 2 and 12 is comeing out soon to. Wow I need to start investing more time into the game.

No FF10-2 is coming out soon, FF12 is being made.

YAYAYAYAYAYYA I LOVE FFX!

I didn't say it was better than FFT, I said it was better than FFTA. The first one was a classic. I still think Advance Wars is better than FFTA; so does every single reviewer out there as well. EGM rated Advance Wars higher; so did IGN and GamePro. Advance Wars 2 got about the same scores as FFTA, so it's probably on the same league with it. Oh well, it's all personal opinion, I simply enjoyed the strategy aspect of Advance Wars...it was like the army battles in Suikoden 2 mixed with FFT.

Ever since FF6 characters really took a turn for the worse in looking badass. Notable exceptions are Vincent and assorted FFT characters.

Villains are excluded from this trend.

Delita and T.G. Cid were amazing characters.

I think they did a good job with Aurons character design.

and tidus, he isnt all that special. looks like your typical beach surfer dude or something.

It'll probably be out out in about a year in Japan, but us crackers will have to wait an extra year.

www.ff12.com site lauched today. Apparently it takes place in the final fantasy tactics world, Ivalice (sp?) it has Hume, Banga, and err I forgot the other one. Either way, its gonna freaking rock.

That site has been out for quite a while, but the info was released today like I mentioned a few posts above. And yes, it does take place in Ivalice! That's right, the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (not PS1 version, only GBA version) world is the same world that hosts FFXII.

The main hero is Vaan and the lead female is Ashe. The combat system will have judges in it just like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Looks like I need to get into high gear with FFTA!
