NWN

I was wondering if there were any Neverwinter Nights players out there, and if any of them have any suggestions for a good server to play on.

This game was one of the biggest disapointments for me. Its just a horrible game imo. Dosn't help that im not a fan of dnd 3rd edition.

I agree. While the reviews for it are terrific, I found the game to be quite dull.

Well, I've tried a story game and it seemed decent, but I had to go before it was over. There are some awesome mods out there since the Toolset is so awesome.

The Arena type games are full of people who have found the most powerful combo then jacked thier stats with the editor so I find it annoying to play in the arena's since I don't want to devote the time to learn how to make psycho chars.

The Toolset is the best part of the game. The best thing to do is to have a friend make a mod or scenerio and then run it. Basically just play your typical PnP D&D game cept on the computer, that is if you like 3rd edition.

When I first started playing it I thought it was dull too, but once you start gaining some decent levels and if you can find a good server it's actually pretty fun. If you are the type that likes only the action then this game isn't for you. The best servers if you ask me are Persistant Worlds, cause they have server vaults for storing characters and tend to have good communities. I do wish it were a little more involved than point and click though.

I loved NWN and was hopelessly addicted for months. I then downloaded modules and played some of those.

I'm not keen on the multiplayer thing because as Huang said, you get a lot of cheaters.

I have played online WITH freinds in a hard module though, that was fun,.

I heard all about the rants and raves, and the dissapointmens. Seemed to be alot of dissapointments out there. Ahh well. I wish they'd just make a good RPG for once.

Personally, Neverwinter is my preffered game. Still.
But i am a hardcore gamer, and like 3rd ed.

i don't play it online tho. Never enough time...

Question: When is the Expansion supposed to be released, anyone know? (Shadow's of Undrentide)

I've played NWN through twice. I enjoyed it a lot. Haven't played multi yet though... It's like a better version of Dungeon Siege

As a hardcore roleplayer i would suggest Baldurs Gate 1. ITs old but its a damn fine game. NWN is more hack and slash than roleplay. So if you like Diablo NWN is the link between Roleplay and Hack and slash, if you dont like Diablo i suggest you never buy, download or EVER install it on your harddrive
