Tiger Woods 2004
Has anybody played Tiger Woods 2004? I'm just wondering if it is worth picking up or if I'm better off buyin 2003 at half price.
|
agreed
I'm also really interested in this game, but I just bought 2003. Only $20 for gamecube.
2003 btw is badass. It's a great party game because you can drink/toke inbetween shots. |
ahhhhhh im looking forward to tw04 too!!! does anyone want to buy it for me?
|
its going to be a great game considering how awesome 03 was
|
My brother seems to think it's a better than 2003. I don't remember exactly what the differences are... perhaps I'll point him to this thread if I remember tomorrow.

Man we've been playing 2003 for the past 6 months over here in iraq, the most addictive game ever! 2004 is supposed to have some good additions to it so i've read. There are a few more game modes, one being a team based challenge. There is a character designer where you can customize pretty much everything about your character, i think 7 more courses, and some other good shit. If you dont have 2003 already, get 2004
|
It is the best golfing game ever.
I made a guy to look just like me and he gets on the course and plays like I do...shitty. Art |
My bro was talking about being able to gain sponsorships. That sounds kinda cool. I'll finally be able to play it when he comes to visit next weekend.
|
2004 is worthy of a purchase over 2003. Whole lot of new equipment and such is added as well as the best create-a-player stuff I've seen before.
The sponsorships are done in kind of a half-assed way but it's a nice feature nonetheless. My best round thus far is 52. :D |
If this tells you anything, I left a party lastnight just to come home and play 2004. That game is worse than crack... but to answer the question, get 2004 over 2003. Its worth it.

2004 ROCKS! need a ea sports account though to play online
|
I loved Tiger Woods, but I really like Links 2004 a bit better. The level of customization isn't as high, but it is still a hell of a lot of fun.
|
I love playing Woods 2004. I did not have 2003, so I can't really compare. The game is challenging, but not to the point you want to break the damn thing.
|
I love Woods '04. I am playing the hell out of it. You can customize your character to look just like you (or anyone you want for that matter!), there are a number of different game modes... It is great.
That being said, I am about 60-75% done the game and am starting to lose interest. My golfers abilities are such that after the first round of a tournament the leader is roughly 4-8 strokes under par. I am usually 12-14 strokes under par. So I really don't find myself playing any more tournaments and I am not even half way done those yet. Basically, buy it, play the hell out of it, trade it in for another! |
ive been playing it quite a lot lately and i enjoy it quite a lot. its a nice change from all the fps games i play most of the time. it takes a bit of getting used to, especially the putting bit, but very addictive none the less.

I was very much pumped about the playability of TW 2k4 after buying it, but after playing through almost all of the single player tournaments, my interest dropped quickly, partly due to other games but mainly because the multiplayer was laggy and after you beat most of single player, there's nothing left to do.

I agree with the replay factor...even with TW03. It's hard to start over when you know how powerful and accurate you can be. I'm a big sports gamer and I've found the team sports are easier to start over with. Madden and NCAA 2004 are the tops with franchise!!!
