Know any nonviolent online multiplayer games?
 

Looking for multiplayer games that can be played online.

Preferably not Card / Gambling games.

Sims online or toontown?

Whats the point of a non-violent online game? The whole point is competition.

Competition should not be limited to violence.


Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, all competition, no violence.

there are some cool ones built into MSN messenger. Grand Theft Auto, yeah I know its not online, but get the MTA mod, and you can. Everyone who shoots each other I find stupid. For the most part its people racing and doing stunts. Great fun really... as well as trying to be the first one to get to the Hunter :)

weird, I can't think of much, this proves to be a most interesting topic.

There was a Nerf first-person shooter out a while ago :) I just think thats kinda funny... probably not something you want to play though.

I've never played any of the Need for Speed series online. But networked multiplayer is pretty fun. High Stakes mode especially.

GakFace has a good point with GTA. It's a violent game that can be more enjoyable if you completely ignore the violence and just play with the fun stuff like the cars and helicopters. Battlefield 1942's airplanes are my favorite part of the game. Desert Combat's fighter jets and apache helicopters are a blast to fly around and do stunts.

Speaking of which... how rad would it be to start a Flying club and do formation stunts in a team of jets in Desert Combat? :)

xbox has a few non-violent games on xbox live and are planning many more

URU Online is a new MMORPG based on the old game Myst. its in Beta right now..but its good fun!

I know there are/will be a lot of sports games with online play in the future. Other than that checkers and chess.

Civilization III - never played it so I don't know how good it is. Lots of RPG's like Everquest - they are not too violent.

In Gunbound do you have to play with lots of people or can you just play against your buddy?

um, doesn't that fit under the Violence category. When you play to destroy.. thats violence ;)

Motocross Madness 1 or 2 are both fun games to play online! Their are a bunch of racing games that are not ot violent. Pogo.com has fun games to play also.

I heard Gunbound was the best game ever

Well it's cartoon volience, it's funny. I think even Ned Flanders would be ok with them.

Also Smugglers run I think! Not sure if there is shooting or not cant remember been a while.

How about Puzzle Pirates? It's my new obsession. Requires Java though, which you can download if you don't already have it installed.

Many emulators support multiplayer games, you could download a snes/genesis emulator get a whole bunch of 2+ player games (many of which aren't violent at all) and have heaps of fun.

I'm all for the Uru.. I'll be getting that when it does come out :D

WORMS! and tetrinet

finally some one agrees with me, tetrinet is unbeatable.

Ive been lanning for a few years now but the only time i get really stressed is with a game of tetrinet. The games can go for hours and seriously i can feel that vain on my forehead going mental.

after that you need to sit down for a while, before you can jump back in for some cs or something, omg tetrinet is the most intense game on the planet.

amd just incase you cant figure it out,

Cameron3D is a pool game that is extreamly fun and extremely popular in korea and RIT

lots of online chess out there, but stay away from battle chess ... for obvious reasons :)

racing games are always best online =) as long as noone is lagging
