Ghost Master
I'm quite intrigued by this title. Has anyone got it yet? Is it as cool as it looks?

Quite a good game, something like a cross between Dungeon Master & Sims.
The general objective for each level is to scare away the occupants of the house, but from what I've played so far, some of the levels have different objectives so the gameplay has some variety. Also each level has bonus ghosts that you can unlock and add to your "army", but the way to unlock them are quite unique & interesting. Overall its quite a decent game, and has enough replayability to make it worth while buying. It'll be fun to replay the entire game or just selected levels using different ghosts or train ghosts up with different skills etc etc. |
Demo is here. I'm getting it now. "Cross between Dungeon Master and..." had me at hello.

Yeah, this one's pretty interesting. I mean, I liked it once I figured it out. The only thing I didn't like too much about it was that its sorta difficult to get the hang of. You have to go about things passively instead of directly. I'm used to point and click to make get rid of a particular enemy... in this one, you kinda point and click and wait and hope the enemy goes away.

Well that's because the ghosts don't actively or physically attack the occupants. They just do wierd things to scare them away.
The stuff you need to do to free some of the bonus ghosts are pretty creative & difficulty too. It's a bit of a thinking game, quite innovative. |
Just watching clips of this on a games programme looks ok.

After playing the demo, I'm not overwhelmed. It was okay, but the controls were a little clumsy. I don't plan on buying it, based on that demo.
