What game is this?
Okay, I don't know if this thread has been made yet or not, but what the hell. If you have a game and you can't remember the name, post it and hope someone knows what it is.
here's mine: Im trying to remember the name of an old game i played on my old nintendo. You were in first person but couldnt move. You would have to click on various object and doors to move around and solve puzzles to advance to new areas. I remember one part you had to take this orb and put it in a lake to freeze it and walk across. What game is this? |
Shadowgate, can be purchased as a gameboy game now, and also had a brief remake as Shadowgate 64
Other games similar would be Deja`Vu also on nintendo but I don't know if it got ported to GB or not |
sounds similar to myst also.
|
lol waaayyyyyy too old school for myst, but your right maybe a precursor.
|
Deja 'Vu was awesome, though really hrad to finish correctly.
|
wow.
talk about blast from the past. Deja Vu. i think i had that one on my Amiga 2000. and i remember going over to a friends house heaps just to play Myst when it first came out. |
Oy.... so I actually remember the name of this game, I just can't find it anywhere. If anybody can help me, I'd really appreciate it.
Its called "BOLO". It was on a demo disc several years ago, back when Win'95 was cool. Its a Windows puzzle game, with a top-down view, the point of which is to manipulate a sort of heavy iron ball on a chain (the chain is connected to your mouse cursor). By jerking your mouse in certain ways you can get the ball rolling, spinning around on the chain, etc. You have to navigate it around the level, avoiding holes, and hit the right things to solve puzzles. I have tried my best to find the demo disc and the game itself on the net, but finding diddly squat. Anyone know what I am talking about? |
Try playing Beyond Zork. That game was awesome.

The game I can't remember is one on Genesis: the main character was a guy who had this thing on his arm that was not unlike a bionic commando arm, that he could use to swing and grab stuff with. Does anybody remember that game?

BOLO's logo was a round face of some sort.. I am doing my best to reconstruct it in my mind's eye, but am failing miserably. |

I've got one for you...
It was back in the Win95 days, it was shareware (I believe). The whole concept was that you're a miner, and you dig into the ground dig-dug style. You mine gold and silver and such, take it back to the top, and sell it to buy more supplies. I remember that if you hit water the mine would flood and you'd die... I think the whole goal was to earn enough money to visit the whorehouse. |
