Problems reinstalling SWG - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Okay I had SWG installed on my computer but my computer was running really slow all the time. So I reinstalled windows 2000. My computer is running faster now but when I go to reinstall SWG I get the message "An error (-5006: 0x80070017) has occured while running the setup.

Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor: Sony Online."

I was unable to uninstall it through uninstall. Should have done that before reloading windows but I didn't think about it at the time. I have gone into regedit and delete everything I could find that was related to Sony,Star Wars and Launch pad. Any other ideas?

Did you format, or just re-install Windows?

Did not format, SWG was also on another hard drive.

disable anti virus software
reinstall directx 9
install servicepack 4
install all drivers for mainbaord / gfx / sound

best tips i can give you so out of the pocket

At that time he could ask for any one thing and he could wish for the hope of all mankind... he looked death right in the eye and said ... "I would like about three fiddy"
