Sephiroth VS Mega Man At GameFAQs

For over two months now, there has been a huge 64-character tournament going down. Everyday, one character faces another for the entire day, then it goes on to the next battle. Now in the Final Four, Cloud has just defeated last year's champion Link, and is destined for the Final Battle. Who will his opponent be?

Today is Sephiroth VS MegaMan, a rematch from last year. Last year in the 3rd Round, Sephiroth barely slid by MegaMan by under 1,000 votes. This match will very likely obtain huge amounts of votes, but I personally doubt it'll gain as many as Link VS Cloud did. Either way though, I am hoping with all my might that MegaMan wins today. However, I will not force my opinions onto you. I'd like for everyone to vote there, however...but if you don't have a preference, may I suggest MegaMan? :)

For anyone who wishes to avenge any particular characters...
MegaMan, the hero in the "MegaMan" series, has defeated Mr. Resetti, Zelda, Tommy Vercetti, and Solid Snake.
Sephiroth, the villian in "Final Fantasy 7", has defeated Raziel, Max Payne, Alucard, and Mario.

That's the only reason why Megaman will probably not win. Curse people for wanting the dramatic! Megaman would trash Sephiroth, it's not even a challenge. Megaman has a blaster! Besides, Sephiroth never should have been allowed to beat Alucard.

It's all about Megaman, even though he doesn't have a chance of winning in votes...

If you check out GameFAQS info on the contest, it officially reads that this is NOT a contest of who would win in a fight, this is strictly a popularity contest, nothing more and nothing less. "Who is the most popular video game character of all time?" "Remember: This is a popularity contest, and nothing more." Sephiroth is a more favorite character than MegaMan, and that's why he's winning.

I like megaman. Sephiroth is cool, true, but he doesn't have the class of Megaman. Plus, Megaman gets more chicks.

A blaster? THAT is why you think mega-man would win? He wouldn't even be able to hit sephiroth. He'd be firing away with that little pea-shooter, and suddenly....SLICE! End of story. Moral of the story? Don't mess with the one-winged angel.

Shoot, all he needs is BrightMan's halting power and Sephy is a goner. That's not even mentioning everyone else's powers, like said Leaf Shield. I think even ToadMan would crush Sephiroth...okay, so I lied. ToadMan's a sad sad boss.

If any of you have played Kingdom Hearts, and have gotten up to Sephiroth in the arena, I don't need to tell you what would happen. You can probably guess. For those of you unfamiliar, let me put it this way:

Megaman: Blast!
Sephiroth: Dodge
Se: Slice
MM: Leaf shield! Throw!
Se: Teleport. Big uber destructo power
MM: blarg. dead.

You know what just occured to me?

What we need is a 3-d fighter with EVERY game character EVER made. That way we could settle disputes like this in a sensible fashion.

Think about it. All characters would have every power they normally would at thier disposal, regardless of game balance. That means that yes, if you wanted to play, say, Jill Valentine from RE, you would be equipped with a handgun (maybe the right move could change it to a rocket launcher), whereas if you chose Dante, of Devil May Cry fame, you would be armed with Alastor and a host of nasty demon attack thingies.

You know, I like this idea so much I'm going to make a new thread just for it. Be on the lookout.

They made him hard in that game because everyone gets wet when they hear his name, Hell cloud kicks his ass in ffVII yet sephiroth is tougher in kingdom harts, Megaman would win because he's Mega.

HAHA this is ludacris and I love it. Seph is definently the coolest character of the two (vincent Valentine was the best in FFVII imo)But i would have to give props to megaman too. Given the nature of the games, megaman would have gone after seph. and thus killed a lot of creatures on his way and probably taking their powers too (although there not all robots so this could be flawed) Besides having all those extra powers ya know that mega is gonna go get the KOFR summon cause one thing he aint is lazy. :)

Mega Man beating Sephiroth? The One Winged Angel? No way! Sephiroth would turn Mega Man into scrap heap and Fed Ex his ass back to Dr. Light.

Even though Mega Man is blue and has a cool gun on his hand, he just can't beat the badguy from one of the greatest games ever created :D

Sephrioth would kill him, he would preform some of that crazy magic, fuck the leaf sheild, fuck the balaster.
